Landscape for an existing bungalow situated within a large property was to be redesigned to make it more enjoyable during the weekends. Large fruit trees such as Mango, Jackfruit, Garcinia etc. already existed on site along with trees belonging to native western Ghat flora. Negotiating steep levels as well as the heavy rainfall during monsoon were the major challenges. The contoured site already had retaining walls creating flat terraces, enabling the use of outdoors. To take care of heavy rainfall, it was decided not to disturb existing water        run-offs crossing the site. A small such flow was exploited to create a private, frolicking place for getting wet during monsoon. The dense canopy of grown up trees allowed little scope for flower beds. The design emphasis was mainly on improving the use of outdoor spaces.
